CYNTHIA DE SOUZA, Producer

As a creative producer, Cynthia has produced ten high-concept and distinctive short films to date which have screened around the world, including The Newspaper Story, and Viva Leap Diva for a scheme to increase diversity in the film industry in collaboration with NFTS/B3 Media and personal mentor Michael Kuhn.

In 2007, she produced Maude (starring Academy Award nominated Susannah York) fully funded by Film London East, which world premiered at Palm Springs International Film Festival and UK premiered in the 'New British Cinema' slot at the London Film Festival.

She has an active slate of feature film projects in development and aspires to produce distinctive projects that will captivate and entertain on an international scale.

Looking back on the experience of making Stiletto, Cynthia said "With limited resources and a lot of good will from a hugely talented cast and crew, I believe we've created something that we can all be proud of. It's very rare to see a genre short film in festivals - but as a homage to Hitchcock, we've hopefully found a good balance between suspense thriller and black comedy to intrigue and entertain a wide audience."
